2015 is my lucky year,, i breed 2 species last year,
3 time my pulchra pair breeding last year, august, september, and november , i start with very large group about 20 youngster , they are f1 who i breed myself in 2014 from my wild caught pair click here if you interest to see my wc pair post
http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/threads/my-channa-pulchra-story.595101/
, after female WC die i sale the male wild and i keep the youngster , of course not all ,i sell most of youngster, from that 20 group eliminated to 8 fish , they start breeding in august at that time male is about 12 cm and female 10 cm , bit shocking me coz they breed when another 6 fish is still in the tank, i guess because they are not fully growing pulchra at that time.

first breeding in 25 august

Very nice

do you lower the water level in this tank to spur breeding?? or recommend a water level? my ornatipinnis seem to go through the greeting but nothing seen in breeding terms. i'm going to be moving them into a smaller tank (currently 300ltr tall) and pack it out with more greens, i should never have moved them from their original tank a tall tank is no good for these i think.

any tips much appreciated

the second Picture with the pair releasing the eggs is extraordinary awesome :-D

Thanks everyone, yes I lower the water level but not sure that's the main trigger for them to spawn , but my f0 breed after I increases water level after several month lower water levels.
But i think water change main trigger in my case..
