Hi everyone,

i have a question; wich channa is suitable for a 80x40x40cm tank?
just 1 male. so i tink 1 of the smallest channa species. i prefer an easy to maintan channa.

i saw last week 1 male Channa aurantimaculata when i was picking my daughter up at her freinds place. it was het dads aquarium.
man wat a beauty. is was about 45cm in an 150x50x50 aquarium. i stayed for a cup of coffee and watched and talked about the tank and the fish with her dad.

and i was in love really.;) one the way home i dreamed i want one snakehead.

i have an tank of 100x40x40cm with killis setup.

and i have an empty tank of 80x40x40cm. mabey al small species..just 1?
any recommandations?

thanks gyus

ps my english is not so very good.
greetings from holland.

Hi.
Do u want a subtropical or tropical species?
With a subtropical species need to go down with temp to around 16C.
For this size of tank:
-Channa bleheri
-andrao
-small gachua variants( like sp Inle lake)
-orientalis

it doesnt matter if it is tropical or subtropical.
is has to fit in the tank.

Don't think there's much tropicals fitting these dimensions.
But basically, those 4 sound about right.
