This idea was a idea I found a while back
First dig about 3 to 4 feet down to make the general shape of the greenhouse, next use the soil u dugout to make walls/hills on the outside edges, next add the green house film over the area,u can make it so it also collects water for your pond(make sure the water doesn't go directly to the pond as snowmelt can be cold).

A few notes:make sure u don't forget to add a entrance/ exit,u may need supports for your green house tarp depending on size and shape,u will also notice I didn't tell u how to make a pond or what tropical plants to add because those decisions r up to u.

When you use the terms green house "film" and green house "tarp" it doesn't sound like a green house to me. It sounds like plastic 4mm film stapled to some wood poles. You don't need to dig down 4 feet in the ground to have that, but I still don't understand why you want it in the first place.

I've never heard of some one needing a greenhouse in the fish hobby, although it may be a fine idea. Can you clarify?

The digging down deep(ish) helps insulate the greenhouse without spending 100s of dollars heating it(I don't like wasting money that I could be spending on fish or other things),2. If u make or buy a glass pane greenhouse it would not be cheap(a small 12 by 4 greenhouse with glass panes cost about $12000 here), and 3 I posted this because people are always asking how to heat your ponds and also doing this can save u thousands of dollars annually .
