My Chocolate's have been acting like lovebirds for two weeks now in the 240gl so I put them in their own tank. Three days later they are laying eggs (or at least trying to) on the slate. The female isn't pushing the eggs down so they are rolling off the rock into the gravel. I think I'll just wait till they are done and siphon them all up. But needless to say, I'm happy about it!
I love Chocolate Ciclids. They are such a great looking fish, especially in breeding colors. Hopefully the male knows what he's doing and is getting the eggs all fertilized.
