Exactly, Dindo. In the earlier years, dats used to reach up to the 3foot range mark. How often do you ever see that now?? The early first generation STF dats bloodlines were probably more puire back then... perhaps thats the reason why they grew out to such large sizes at that time??

holy smokes. that thing is HUGE. It reminds me of that pic of that huge dat in that tank. Looks like it was taken in some fishing village in thailand or indonesia some where. The dat was huge and tank could barely fit it.

There was a local guy, who I hear grew his ST from 2" to, well not sure....It was at the local petshop, heard it was to big for the tank that it was in....120 4x2x2, could barely turn around....

He was said to be feeding mice! and it took 5 years!

Sorry no pics, never made it down to go see it! I'm in Toronto, maybe some one did make it down and took pics, is reading this, and could post them.
