Coast to coast overflow beananimal thingie

Got some plumbing work accomplished on my plywood tank. Used 3inch pvc for the weir and 2" going through the tank just in case 1.5" wont handle the water. Its something like a beananimal durso, not really sure what it is honestly lol. So the full siphon will come off the bottom obviously and going to put in a valve to adjust with. The top is kind of like the beananimal in the way it uses a hose to start siphon but with a twist. I didnt want a hose running through my turtles basking area for him to have a fight with and also didnt want to drill another hole for the small tubing so i ran it back inside the drain itself. Still need to glue it and all that, just mocked up for now. What yall think about it? Good idea, bad idea, i mean its either gonna work really good or its gonna be all messed up.

My bean animal has a siphon drain with no hose and a sealed tee at the back, then another drain that does have a hose that goes to the tank above the water line, then a higher emergency drain with no hose.

It looks like this pipe is for the drain that doesn't siphon, but because it's a closed loop within the same pipe I don't think it will work properly. Unless I'm missing something, it's the same as not having the hose at all.

The bottom one should be a full siphon with a valve to choke it back and create the water to go out the top drain. In my theory anyways
