cool fish for 50 gallon tank

Anyone have ideas for friendly community fish to put in a 50 gallon tank (preferably coral reef)?
Some of you are going to hate me for this but I don't like clownfish that much because they are soo common and i'm going for a larger variety of fish.

is monocentris japonica or cleidopus gloriamaris reef safe? if not a engineer goby + mandarin dragon are awesome little characters.

Does it have to be a fish? If not then perhaps a crinoid squat lobster?

If so perhaps a shrimp goby?

50g is too small for any tang. I would think of a goby, maybe even a pistol shrimp/goby pair.
