i really like both fish and i was wondering if they would work in the same tank together, if close to same size. i havn't seen any tanks with them together soo im hoping thats not a hint that it doesn't work. this is why i am asking people with experience :). thank you.

i think and again im not sure about cichla but frontosa need a higher ph around 8 and im sure given the space lots of it, it could work but again the ph could play a factor im not to knowledgeable when it comes to cichla

Well pbass are found in the amazon and the pH there should be lower than 7 both fish's ph ranges are suppose to opposite spectrums of it but then again ive heard that some people have kept their pbass in pH levels around 8 so it could work.

The bass will outgrow them in a month and then you will have beat up frontosa its a bad idea but twin species only tanks one pbass and one frontosa would be cool

oh ok thanks i didnt know what ph frontosa need to be kept at thanks. yaa its tacky but i like them both a lot i cant help it haha. i guess ill see what i go with.

go with fronts ;)

naw pbass:) fronts take too long to grow. And u could go with azuls to get the blue of the fronts and above all u could add other to the tank such as orinos, kelbs, monos and occels to get a variation of colors:naughty:

well the thing is i only have a 120 gallon ATM, it has a 6' x 2' footprint but when my p bass start getting really big im going to need a bigger tank. with fronts i don't see me needing a bigger tank, atleast for a long time. then again i love the attitude of a cichla. such a hard decision :(.

Then buy a kelb and dont feed it too heavily...it'll last quite awhile
