Have you ever thought of having a tank of just deformed fish. You see them all the time. Naturally born deformity short bodied, missing tail or other fins, bent bodies. Sometimes they look really cool. Everytime I see one of these in a tank I kinda get the urge to buy it and start a tank of just these deformed misfits.

A buddy of mine wanted fish, but as we didn't want to spend money, I collected all the deformed, mutated fish I possibly could and put em in a 40 breeder. It was pretty amusing.

He kinda looks like those Heart Parrots. The thing with those is they had the tails cut off purposely to look like heart shapes. I recently saw a Leopard Ctenopoma with a missing tail short bodied and bent that looked kinda cool. Most of these deformed fish I see are not young fish. They been able to live and grow even with there handicap.

NO. Because the demand for "cool looking" deformed fish is what drives those nutjobs in Asia to do awful things to fish, for the sake of making a quick buck.

I don't mean deliberately deformed, which I don't like. But these were all "culls" or fish people had traded back to the store.

No I understand, but these guys in Asia are doing a lot of "man made" deformities, like chopping tails off, etc. That just ain't cool.

Here's a 'rhino' discus I saw at a LFS a while back. Turns out this 'notched' deformity is common in discus and angels.
