I just had my first batch of eggs hatch!! They are all very cute and hungry little buggers, but 3 out of the 15 are deformed. One has a curled toe, one has both feet totally curled (it can't walk, kind of drags itself around) and one is super deformed. It only has one eye, a crossed beak, malformed wings and curled feet. I've separated this one because the other chicks walk on it and peck it. I've been feeding that one a liquid mash I make from chick food, as it can't open its beak enough to eat normal dry food.

Does anyone know anything about why this happens?? Was it my fault, or maybe they are inbred?? I' m not sure about their parents, I ordered the eggs online.

Also, would you keep them?? I can't keep them with my other birds because I don't want them passing down their genes if it's caused by some wierd mutation.

Feedback much appreciated!!
