DIY Tank Dividers

I bought 6 flowerhorn fry back in September 2019, thinking I would see which one turned out the best and keep it. They were 1.5" back then, and lived happily together. Only one died, so now I have 5 flowerhorns, ranging in size between 3-5", and I've grown attached to all of them. BUT, they are fighting each other like crazy! One had to be nursed back from deaths door, all its fins were frayed and fell off, etc. They are all different sizes, but the two biggest, about 4.5-5" are the most aggressive.

Anyway, I haven't been able to find anyone to give them away to yet, and I just purchased another nice (*expensive*) one now that I felt like I had the hang of it. I'm trying to figure out how to get a bigger tank, but in the meantime, I had to do something. They were beating up on each other so badly that my daughter was scared to be in the room. I went to Home Depot and bought some plastic deck trim and cut it down to fit into my tank with a hack saw. Because of the thickness of the trim, it was stiff enough to maintain its shape, rather than flop over like when I tried other materials. I found that this worked so well, especially when secured to the wall with suction cups, I wanted to share it with anyone having similar issues. I don't need lectures on how it is too crowded, I know it is. It's just a temporary solution, but working well right now. Of course, in a tank situation like this, you're gonna need to do lots of water changes, but much better than watching your fish slowly get beaten to death.

Nice fish,

small looking tank...

I’ve not seen this setup, I read this twice, there is no question I can make out.

Petco has $99 - 75g’s - maybe 1 per fish...
