This DIY aquarium stand was built with the idea of making things easier to reach and access for those in wheelchairs or anyone facing limited mobility issues. The homemade fish tank stand was built for a 75 gallon tank and a lot of time and heart went into this project, which clearly shows in the end results.
The homemade tank stand features sliding doors making it wheelchair accessible by eliminating the use of a standard door which could get in the way. It also has a slide out for the canister filter with a handle you pull to bring the canister filter out. This allows you to easily grab on to it without having to reach far into the fish tank cabinet. There is also a slide out power bar built into the aquarium tank stand itself which allows you to easily access the power area and turn it off for maintenance. Some of these modifications we actually tried adding into our own stand and many can be added to existing stands to make things easier to reach and access for everyone. For more on the stand please see the full videos on Brian's Aquatics channel.
We would like to thank Brian very much for his efforts to put this DIY tank stand together. We would also like to thank Kyle for introducing us to Brian. Be sure to check out both links below for each of these channels.

This community of fish keepers has some absolutely amazing people part of it who really go above and beyond to help others. We can't thank everyone who helped, shared and provided ideas enough. We would like to see the aquarium hobby be accessible to everyone who might be interested. We would really appreciate others sharing this video so those that need it have a better chance of seeing it.
