hi

iam thinking about building a stand like this with two 6x3x2ft tanks, my qestion will 3x3 timber hold it.

Yes, if assembled correctly.

iam going to assembled like these one in the pic , step for the bottom going to be the same has the top,so more support.

It will be fine.

I'm a little concerned that this design relies heavily on the shear strength of the eight screws that hold the top part of the frame to the uprights. I know the 2x4s provide some strength, but I wouldn't trust that frame long term.

what if i put 3x3 to provide some strenght, thinking about using 5 inches bolts to hold it and what is the different to m10 bolts to m8 bolts

M10 is metric 10 or 10mm diameter. Which is 3/8'' diameter or .375''.
Bolts also come in grades of strength and grade8 is a common very strong bolt.

For 3x3 timber I would use m10x127mm gr8 lag bolts, like you have pictured.

The only thing I would do differently on the stands is add a center vertical support.

thanks, i can't have center support becuase iam going to put i tank on the bottom so the center support will be in the way but i can but one at the back.

It would be perfectly fin with out any center support.
