Do I Need To Glue This?

I’m getting around to install my 40” PVC spray bar in my 90g RR so my question is do I need to glue this slip joint? I’d rather not which would make it easier to disassemble and clean but on the other hand I’d rather have a pain in the ass over flooded hardwood floors.

It looks like your overflow is in the corner.
40" would be most of not all the way over to the other side glass in a 4ft 90, why not make it so it fits snugly against the glass and use it to hold in place.
Your head pressure might build up in the tube to push it off the fitting but wouldn't that still just flow into your tank?

That’s a very good idea. I never thought of that. Eheim Jager heater mounts fit 3/4 PVC very well so it’s suctioned at the end.
