Do these UV Steriliser work?

Thats a curious model. No direct experience with that one and I'm far from an expert, but about a year ago I did a deep search to put a uv sterilizer in my tank. All of the ones I looked at either had ports you would hook up to your existing moving water line between your canister or sump and the return to tank, to utilize the existing flow. Or they were an in tank model that had it's own little pump. The one I settled on and am happy with though I have no real data to show it's doing anything is a green killing machine model, doesn't appear to be available in your area of amazon, but is similar to this

It's significantly more expensive but you get what you pay for. What size is your tank?

Thanks for the link, yes I have seen those, I already have a Fluval FX UVC clarifier which is currently for repair.

My friend gave me one of these as a loan, he did say that it's higher power than my FX, but as it has not powerhead it relys on the speed of my water column.

My tank is 125l,Fluval Roma 125 to be exact, and i have about 7000lph turn over in the main column.
