Ok you crazy Big Cichlid fans, I would like to know who has kept or still keeping Dovii over 5 years old? I am of the belief the Parachromis Dovii is one of the most durable cichlids in the hobby. By durable I mean they have the ability to survive and fight off conditions other cichlids cannot. The evidence of my assumption is a lifespan exceeding at least 5 years. I believe within that time keepers of the Dovii would be able to attest to the resilience of this species. The attachment is of my 10 year old Dovii (Water Dawg), “Living long and still going strong”. This is the same fish in my avatar...He was a lot younger then...lol. He’s a healthy old fart now, lol.
