dovii,convict,salvini

so i have a couple of doviixconvicts ranging from 3-4 inches. i just set up a 225g and have a ton of sa ca cichlids in it. i have a male and female salvini in there and i decided to throw one of my hybrids in. out of 11 fish to choose from including a gorgeous male my female salvini has now layed eggs with my dovii con hybrid. eggs are all inside the cave tubes dropped, female is fanning the egss and the male is chassing and attacking anything that comes close. thought id share.... wonder what the cross will look like. salviniXdoviiXconvict. its gonna be a small but mean lill bugger. the dovii cross is already a jerk

Frankenfish!!! Dovii x Convict, I've never seen such a thing until now. Throwing Salvini genes into the mix will be even more interesting. Post new pics if and when they hatch.

something happened and all the eggs are gone. they moved to a different cave and she has layed more eggs and the hybrid is still guarding her. male is only 4 months old and is 5 inches. not sure if its fertile but his vent is dropped and looks like he know whats up. ill keep you all up to date if they actualy have fry. i have a 60 gal in my bedroom with a male hubrid with a female and they have layed eggs 4 times and nothing. i think its the convict in them thats keeps em randy but since they are hybrid some might not be fertile like horns. im not sure.

same here but its living proof in my tank. pics dont do justice. they look amazing! and they look so evil. they flare up at everything. blood red gills/ true pred fish but compact so far
