not trying to question your vote for female but can you explain why you think female so others can learn?

the reason i say female is because of the overall body shape, especially the slope of the forehead ( ive had male and female and ive notcied a few differences)
Looks male to me. Freckles all over its body. Above the lateral line.
Although my photo isn't near as good as Andy's, the one below also brings out his point.

This trait shared by most Parachromis, the blotch on the gill plate below the eye, is almost always most prominent in females.....for example the motaguense below.
