Driftwood mold?

I recently took a fairly large piece of driftwood out of my tank and I just set it in a large container, well a about a month later I go to look at it so I can cut it up and use it in other tanks and I notice green on it, it's kinda light not really dark. Driftwood is completly dry.is this mold? I would take a picture but my camera is cracked. Could I just soak it in prime for a while? I really don't wanna throw it away because it was $50..

Can algae grow on dried out driftwood? Or maybe it grew before it was completely dry?

Is the "algae" only on the driftwood or is it also on other decorations. Algae can grow at anytime on anything if the proper conditions for it are met

It's only on the driftwood, and not a whole lot just really on the top parts

More than likely just small amount of algae growth

Yeah, 90% sure its algae, i have pieces where the areas nearest the light would have green tinges after being dried out...

Give it a good scrub before use and its good to go...
