Dwarf Green Pike cichlid problem?

I was looking at my pike the other day when i notice his body had a bump/gut. It seemed to have a neon blueish red look at his belly area trailing to the anus, but for sure he did not eat any cardinal tetra, i have counted them 10 times since, and my brother has too. For sure he did not eat any, they dont fit in his mouth, so i know he didn't eat any fish as the rest are accounted for. So y is it this color, and y a lump, also notice irredecent red on sometimes his pectoral or tail fins, but neither at the same time. He seems to just rest every so often.

If the color is the same as the cories, then I'd suspect the food. Your pike is slightly translucent in that area, mine would show orange after brine shrimp, ect. That's the best guess without better pics.

Also, your cardinals will probably start to disappear once he puts more size on him. My pair killed a dozen tetras they couldn't possibly swallow, by biting their heads. Once those jaws are big enough for that, your cardinal numbers might dwindle.

Was a dwarf green pike, and BTW today he has become king of the tank. He is like 2.5inchs but chases away every other cichlid, even my 3.8 red head lol. He has only ever nipped my keyholes abit. My butterfly pleco is the only one who dont give a **** bout it. Lol its confusing.

Because I haven't kept the species you have, you can take this with with a grain of salt.
As many pikes mature, females tend to get a more round gut, and sometimes display more color in the same area.
Below wild caught Crenichcla saxatillus from Uruguay

Note the rounded more red belly of the females.
Below a male, a bit more streamlined

And in another species I have kept (Belly- Crawler)
Not quite a different color, but more rounded gut

The females also get eye spots in the dorsal of some species, while the males, below, don't

Yes i believe what you have stated fits this situation the most logically, it does have a spot where the back end becomes the tail fin area, it has sometimes red dots lining the trim of the dorsal fin, and the lower half of the tail fin.
