nice Justin! I really like the way the 125 is coming along, it's giving me some ideas for my tank.

Two out of three of my tanks have black water. I love the look of it.

Thanks guys! Once I cut down the manzanita into vertical stumps with exposed roots the tank is going to be something I've never seen anyone do. I've had this design in my head for at least 2 years. :D Just waiting for the wood to water log..

I've been thinking about doing this with my 90. I just set up my 55 for my Africans and have been thinking about what to do with my 90. It has all my central/south American cichlids but the tank isn't that attractive. The roots and branches would look pretty awesome.

I picked up a 45 gallon in great shape a while back and have been using it to mix RO. I didn't notice that it has a very slow leak in the bottom panel. The black line is tape marking 10 gallons. I use a 25% tap 75% RO mix in the tanks.

On the right hand side you can see the leak. That is the only reason I noticed it. I never open the stand since the tank is only for mixing RO and soaking driftwood/QT.

I'm gutting the silicone tonight, will reseal tomorrow night and fill by next weekend.

Since I have to skip this weeks water changes, I will service all of my FX5's, hey need it bad. I have bveen neglecting them for a while and I have a ton of new biomedia just sitting in bags and two of them have an empty tray. My tanks are never done are they??? I just realized that..

One of the best thread i have read thus far. My 100gal tank is set up with DBN background as well and loving it. Your thread will help me when its time to upgrade to a larger tank. Bookmarked! Thanks for documenting and sharing all your hard work =)

Thanks for the feedback man! Not everything I've tried has worked or looked as planned but at least now you know not to try what you don't like lol

This is the picture of the tank in late Dec. I have since removed 1/2 of the rocks because they look too busy lol

Here are a few of its inhabitants
