I have young F1 Cichlasoma sp. "La Palma" for sale! They are currently anywhere from 3/4" to 1" with a couple outlier bigger ones. My pair spawned on June 1st, 2012 so the young are about 3 months old now. I collected the parents with Ken Davis, Felipe Cantera, and others from a pond called La Palma near the town of Tranqueras, Uruguay. C. sp La Palma are currently an undescribed species with their closest relative being C. dimerus, major difference is that C. sp. La Palma are about 1/3 the size of C. dimerus. My largest is the male responsible for the young and he is about 3. I imagine they get to 4 but not too much bigger. These are very peaceful/mellow fish that are not picky about water parameters or temperature. I keep all 6 of mine with other Uruguayan fishes in unheated tanks year round.
These are very uncommon fish and could be the first F1s available in the hobby. Id prefer to sell these in larger groups to create a breeding group for the buyer. Pricing for them is as such:
$5 per fish
or
$40 per group of 10
I live in Monterey, CA so anyone local can pick up, otherwise I can ship throughout the continental US via UPS Next Day Air or USPS Flat Rate. I only guarantee live arrival on Next Day Air shipments. I only charge for shipping and packing supplies costs. If you are interested please send me a PM with your zipcode so I can give you a shipping quote.
Photos are of the collection location, a wild specimen, and fishes in my aquariums.
