Hikari Carnivore floating food sticks. Please quarantine your feeders if you already haven't done so.
Yep,small fish might be the aro's natural food but feeders are not and they are actually Russian Roulette in terms of parasite and disease carriers.
Yes they are in a separate quarantine tanks! I’ll check into those floating sticks
I catch my feeders from my local lake rather than buying them. So far I’ve had no issues
floating dried shrimp will bring out them color on them
frozen market shrimp, superworm, crikets, roaches, and pellets...my fish eats all
Just moved my Aro from office to home. It's about 2 yo now. Was feeding it with live feeds (frogs, crickets, fish etc). At home. Wife has a no violence and killing other animals policy. Tried market shrimps but once it settles down the tank my Aro just aint interested to eat it. Now stating with Hikari Food Sticks. Very picky. Guess it will take time. Is it okay to feed it only with hikari for the rest of its life?
