So yea..I tried feeding my fishes white cooked rice & guess what??
They loved it..The Jardini ate so much of it, my bleekeri which only eats bloodworms eats it. My 14" jag eats it. All my fishes eats rice!! I'm talking about a community of cichlids all grubbing on rice!! I was so amazed they seem to like it alot lol. So has anyone ever tried rice?? I mean i'm not going to do this as a daily basis. Just once in a week thing because I see my fishes Love rice and also rice is so much cleaner. any1??

You can't feed a fish a Honda. :D

Seriously, I have never heard of a fish eating rice.

hehehe maybe rice toppings.... it's ok aslong all your fishes likes it... I've tried it once to my breeding pair of angels just once...

Just want to make sure everyone knows they should COOK the rice first!! Am a little worried now someone is going to try feeding their fish rice that hasn't been cooked.... :nilly:

You should have taped them eating the rice. That's kinda funny. You are pretty daring.

Rice has no nutritional value so I would be careful. A pure carbohydrate can't be good for your fish.

I feed all my guys New Life Spectrum.....is there anything else?

I would feed things to your fish that are the same or similar to that they find in the wild. That way you have no digestion or health issues. Most quality pellets are made with vitamins and fish products. That makes a very goo staple diet.

Don't feed your fish rice. It has almost no nutritional value. Feed them real fish food. Just because they will eat it doesn't mean its good for them.

Lol that's crazy.
I think I'm going to try it sometime.
