Is there a formula for the amount to feed your Largemouth weekly? What intervals do you feed them?

Welcome to MFK, i just fed mine once-aday,and it depends on what you are feeding it or them. How many do you have and at what size is it/them.

I've got one 5.5-6" largemouth and I've been feeding it shiners or blood worms. I'm trying to find the correct amount for it to grow properly without over feeding it.

If you are keeping your tank clean and there is no uneaten or rotten food left over I would not worry about over feeding. The fish will stop eating when full. You are not going to make it sick or anything by it eating too much. Only by letting left over food sit in the tank or not keeping your water parameters in check. The more they eat the bigger they grow just keep up on those water changes!

You might want to try to get him over to pellets. It will be more cost effective and cleaner in the long run.

I have been told of members using cichlid gold pellets for their natives. Welcome to mfk !
