female betta sorority and angelfish

Hi all,

Just wondered if anyone had experience mixing female betta and angelfish? If it can work, it would be in my 90g which currently has 5 angelfish; and about 60 white cloud minnows. I'd be looking to add approximately 5 female betta that I can house in there in between breeding projects.

There are plenty of hiding spaces etc, though without having tried the mix; I'm 50/50.

Anyone care to comment?

My neighbor had a 90 gallon with a three or four Angels and a few male bettas haha I didn't get to really observe his tank but he said it worked. Just a little chasing.
At the petstore, we tried to keep groups of female bettas in one tank and it never worked out. They would drop like flies. They actually did better in the pathetic little cups. However, they were in 30 gallon tanks not 90 gallons.
