I have had some of these guys for about a month or 2 now, and I am very impressed with them. Peaceful, active and colorful. They actually shoal together too and never leave more than about 2" between them.

I managed to pick up 7 of them for about $10 and they looked like this

As you can see they have potential. I have only ever seen 5" or so ones before that were beatiful. and every time I saw them offered for sale they were more than 10 dollars each. A friend of mine worked at a store and nobody had bought the small ones because they were pretty dull so I struck up a deal to give them a good home in my 120g. I have not regretted it, looks like I may even have the red locality. I saw how beautiful they had become recently so I snapped a few pics. I have some very round looking females too now, they range from about 2"-4"

Yeah they are really underrated and I have never seen them for a good price. Got quite a few round ones in my group so i'm thinking I may see some breeding behaviour when they get a little bigger.

Another interesting thing about these guys is that they apparently inhabit brackish areas too in their range. so could make for an attractive medium sized shoaler in a Brackish aquarium.

great fish wait till they get fully colored up they get this cool lime green sheen to them. They will look great in your 120,espicially at full size.

I have just purchased 6 today. although i am in australia so $65 for 6. does anyone have any experience breedig them? i have a small 60ltr tank and am thinking to see if i have any luck breeding them. Looking forward the the colour of these little guys
