Hi! There was this huge dumb store here in new orleans and it wasn't even a hurricane and it knocked out the power like 5 times in my house. It pretty much fried my filter in the small 15 gallon tank where i'm keeping my thai silk flowerhorn. I put him in there for now until he gets a little bigger to go in the 100g.

Do you guys think he can stay alive until tomorrow morning when I can go buy another filter or should I put him in the 100 gallon where for sure he could end up someones dinner! PLEASE help! Thanks!

If the bio media hasn't gone dry, I would just float it in the 15 gal tank. If it has, maybe float a little of the media from the 100g tank and then just wait it out till morning.

so if i leave him in the 15 gallon he's toast? oh great... i need to figure how to put him in the 100 gallon without getting eaten then. crap!

will he really die of suffocation if i leave him in over night? what if i use my python siphon and siphon water out of him tank and have it cycle back in from the other side... will that work to oxygenate the water by causing surface agitation? how to do that though??

If you have more than one filter on the 100, just borrow it, and put it on the 15.

actually i bought a "silent air B11" battery air pump a couple weeks ago, but i never opened it. i'm gonna read the directions now. as far as i know the air pump plugs into an electric outlet and when it doesn't detect electricity it starts pumping air... maybe if i don't plug it in the air pump will automatically kick in... i'll try it now.

Please pray that this works!!!
