So within the last two days I've has a white fungus attack three of my fish. One huge khuli loache and a juvi payara. I've cleaned the tank, taken all wood out and furniture. I've cleaned the fake furniture and put back into tank, have cleaned the sand. Cleaned the filters, practically cleaned everything. Well today another loach died with fungus all over it. I'm worried my fire eel is next!!! What do I do. I'm trying api pimafix, and still having fish die. What's going on???

pimafix alone isn't going to do it ( it's anti-fungal)... I'm running into a similar situation... Kanaplex (gram neg antibiotic) has been working for me, I still lost a ray and my dayii to it but its working for the rest of my fish. But large water changes def... if your already running 76-78 I wouldn't increase the temp. IDK whats going around ( I suspect columnaris *shudder*) But it's a nasty one.

Yes it is a nasty one. Lost three fish in two days. So how often to do the water changes??

Please post your water perameters, Ammonia, Nitrites and Nitrates along with Ph and hardness if available. These are important in determining the correct medacation. It would also be helpful if you could post a clear picture.

Ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 10ppm, pH 7.2, temp 76°. No hardness available. And I won't have a picture because I immediately disposed of the infected fish. But it looks like this picture of a betta. Slimey looking fungus in blotches on fish. It only took hours from the time I seen my healthy loach to cover most of it and kill it.

Do a large 75% water change and use API Fungas Cure, 3 mg of Victoria Green and 30 mg of Acriflavin. If you don't have acess to meds use 1 tablespoon of salt per 5 gallons of water with daily 50% water changes and replacement of the salt removed by the water change. The fungas cure if you can find it or the two meds that comprize it will get this under controll quickly. The salt will work but will take a little longer and the water changes along with it are an absoult must.

If the fish is not yet infected do the water changes and salt for a week to remove/kill the fungas spores. GL

75% water change, api fungus cure, and things are going fine in my tank. Fire eel seems normal and has no fungus on it what so ever. Going to continue to do water changes for a while everyday and see what happens along with the meds. Its just so weird that all the fish in the tank are scaleless and my bumblebee cats seem to be unaffected by the fungus?! I also have 8 small tetras in the tank since it started and they are not infected either, or at least what I can see. All acted normal. But the payara and loaches died almost hours after contact... this fungus is unpredictable and dangerous. Just hope for my tank mates sake its had its day and moved on!
