Fire Eel Treatment for Ick

Hey guys,


I’m back with the need for more fire eel advice. I woke up this morning and saw that I had some fish with what looks like ick starting to spread on my geosphagus. My fire eel isn’t showing symptoms right now. But what treatment is safe to use with her in the aquarium? All parameters are in perfect range. I’m not sure what caused the ick as of right now I’m just trying to get ahead in treating before it spreads further. I was thinking ICK-X would be the best but I was hoping other fire eel owners might have some past experiences. Thanks everyone.

Can try ichx, paragaurd or salt and heat but gotta keep treating a week after the last spot has disappeared. I like seachem paragaurd and used it on other eels without probs.

Thanks for the advice. I actually think I have paraguard in my cabinet but have never used it before. I’m gonna look for it.
