First ever in Singapore - Pleco Museum @ NKS Aquarium

Feeder Fish
NKS seems to be undergoing a transformation.
First up is the first ever "Pleco Museum" in Singapore.
Hard to find and highly sought after plecos will be maintained in a tank rack dedicated to these plecos.
Fish in these tanks will not be for sale.
The idea is to serve as a pleco museum for new sufferers of "pleconitis" to see these fish in the flesh.
I think this is an original and a damn cool idea!
The featured plecos are not all in but it seems they have commited to the specimens as their names/L-numbers have been pasted on the tanks.

I present to you NKS Aquarium's PLECO MUSEUM!

Have you seen a 5 ft tank littered with cories?
These are for my cory afficionado buddy Kampfer.

I'm glade you guys like it.

@ Warborg,
This is already quite a "sacrifice" of marketing space for the LFS.
They cannot stock fish for sale in these nine tanks!
Traditionally (and obviously) LFS will import and sell the fish.
While the fish species are available the hobbyist can see them.
However once they are sold out... you'll have to wait till next season or the charity of a fellow hobbyist to show you their home tanks.
With the approved bidding process for the dam to be built I'm certain fish in the Rio Xingu will be adversely impacted.
It may be that sometime in the future, say 3-5 years, there will be no imports at all...
This is a real resource for pleco hobbyist.

From the picture of the rack the fish displayed (top to bottom) are Pseudacanthicus, Hypancistrus and Panaque families.
Left to right.
Pseudacanthicus - L024, L025 and LDA105.
Hypancistrus - L046, L174 and L098 <---
Panaque - BEC, thunder and platinum.

They are still in the mist of hunting down a nice small BEC and L098.
Obviously I'll update once they get 'em!
