I like the look of flagtails and it seems borderline if it is possible to house them in a 125. My current stock is 3 catfish, synodontis granulosus, platysilurus mucosus, hemibagrus oylroides, and a senegal bichir. So he would either be the lone topswimmer or I might add some tiger silver dollars. Would this work or should I look for something a bit smaller?

Cool as they are, my personal recommendation would be to get something smaller, taking into consideration both your tank size and current stocking. FT's grow quite fast and can get pretty big. Also ime FT's aren't really top swimmers, they swim all over the place, wherever there's food or algae to be cleaned; mine spends more time on the bottom than top of tank.

Here's a good-sized one in this video at one of my LFS. Another shop has an even bigger one.
