Flowerhorn is acting weird

I bought a new flowerhorn about a week ago, he is very active and chases my hand when the light is turned OFF, but as soon as I turn ON the lights he is slow and less responsive, but becomes active immediately after turning OFF the light.

P.S When lights are ON he does not seem to be afraid or skittish, he doesn't dart around or hide but just becomes less active

Looks like sign of stress . when you want to turn on the lights be sure tht the room is not fully dark . bring in some light bfore turning on the light. at night i dont usually turn on the lights.. fish needs rest too.
