Fluval Fx4 problems

I just set up my new fx4 and after plugging it in, I am getting no output. I’m aware that it goes through the priming sequence and what not but I’m under the impression that that only takes a few minutes. It has been a good 30 minutes. The filter is on, just no water coming out of the output? Any suggestions or input??
 
Did you fill it first? It auto primes but you need to have the canister partially full. My FX6 needs about 5 gallons before it’ll auto prime. Yours is the same.

Yah I added the recommended amount. Then I even added more just in case I didn’t add enough and still the same results.
 
Double check you have the intake hose on the intake port and output hose on the output port.

Do you feel any vibration or humming on the pump?

Are you sure the power plug is in a live outlet and the breaker hasn't tripped in the electrical panel?

I’m going to go ahead and say this is one of my dumbest moments ever lol. Just going to forget about it and move on....... I didn’t have the valves turned the correct way. ?

Glad you found the problem and no worry about a dumb moment, we have all done something similar.

How is the filter running for you now?
