Fluval Fx5 Impeller Leaking...Please look at Picture to see if you can help!

Here is a Picture of the Bucket of the FX5 with the MOTOR**** removed...

Look at about 1 o' clock there is what seems to be a small chip in the 2nd outter most ring...size of 2 ball point pins points ...but I dont know cause i cant find a picture of what it looks like originally.

Does anyone know if this is how it comes?(with a small chip missing)

or

Is the chip causing my leak?

If you have any idea on how to fix...those ideas would aslo be greatly appreicated.

Well...I figured Id update

I used aquarium silicone to make the chip flish and round again...added a little extra to ensure it wont leak.

So far so good

We will see how it holds up

I'm sorry I couldn't help with you with this. I have an fx5, but have only had that apart one time and couldn't reference that picture to anything I had seen in my memory. I'm glad you got it fixed though.
