Fluval FX6 Leaking...

My Fluval FX6, everytime I turn off the filter, the motor area will leak water for a good 5 seconds. There is a small puddle by the end of this. But when the filter is running, no leaks- up untl a few days ago I noticed that right underneath the motor area has a small small leak that has been running.

I replaced the Bushing + o-ring and the impeller with brand new ones, but its still leaking. does anyone have any tips or idea what might be the culprit?

I heard of one Fx6 leaking but the guy never did find the cause and since then hasn't leaked.

Don't they cycle on and off periodically?
Does it leak then?

replaced the Motor seal ring, leak has stopped. Its interesting how my old motor seal ring doesnt even look old or worn out but it did the trick. I guess i have to replaceit every year or so

I had the same problem. Replaced the motor o-ring to fix mine. They are cheap enough to replace that I consider it an operating expense.
