I have a 210 gallon tank, will this fit over the lip with out modifying the tank? should mention that the bracing on larger tanks is pretty large ( this is a aqueon 210).. Anyone else have them on larger tanks?

On my 125 it fits so tightly that I seriously thought I was going to break it by snapping it on. I think the 125 I have is a really old style style with large bracing... It only has one cross section where most I see now have two cross sections.

I had an older 125G tank with the wide plastic trim and I needed to trim the underside of the FX5 rim connector so I could get it to fit. I would not trim the tank trim at all.

I wasn't sure if the fittings were made different than what my FX5 has but they look to be the same.I broke a few of them trying to get them onto my 265,one would think that manufacturers of such a large filter would take into account the trim thickness of some the larger tanks that the filters would be used on.

Yea these suck. I was very careful getting them on my 1/2" thick acrylic tank so that it wouldn't crack my tank and the clips.they need to make an intake kit like the Eheim pro series.

Yes they fit, very tight. And even harder to get off . I have the same 210 gallon tank and the same filter.

I removed mine a couple months ago to convert it to a spray bar. I found it was easier to put on and get off with the o ring bumper removed. Watch your fingers they snap on hard and fast once you get them over the edge.

I have it on my 180 and 210.
