freshwater lionfish tankmates

Is puttin a freshwater lionfish in the tank with a stingray a good idea, with the lionfish being venomous fish. im thinking bout buying a freshwater lion, tiger datnoid and a fire eel in the next few weeks to complete my tank. this will be my second fire eel the first one died from ick, i wasnt sure how to treat the tank with him being a soft body fish. but any who please let me know what some of you guys and gurls think.. thanks in advance
 
likely batrachus trispinosus, which is not freshwater, they are infact a brackish speices
 
i have the brackish batrachus trispinosus and ya they need brackish

Yes, these are freshwater but they aren't always easy to find and generally aren't sold as freshwater lionfish, they usually go under the name 'monster fish'
 
The species usually sold under that name is a Toadfish and it can go either full fresh or full saltwater. I had one that I purchased from a salt tank and I kept it in the same tank as my two frogfish. Divided of course lol. Awesome fish though! They can eat!
 
Ive kept them with all those fish listed in your question and never had a prob...it would hide most of the time and never seemed to bother something unless it could be eaten.
