Sorry for the crappy picture.
Short story is I very unexpectedly acquired this fish on a road trip during a FB Marketplace transaction for a 75 gallon tank, only to discover on arrival for pickup said tank had been his home and the keeper was bowing out of the hobby.
He’s too big for a 75 gallon right now and he’ll only continue to outgrow it. I would love for him to go to an experienced monsterfishkeeper or pond owner. I’ll need video proof of his intended setup before I rehome him. I’ve also reached out to local aquariums to gauge interest.
If you have any to spare, I’m looking for biomedia like ceramic rings or old aquarium filters no longer in use. Also interested in any aquatic plants, snails. I’m a fairly new fishkeeper and I’m trying to play with this hobby on a budget (hence the FB marketplace shenanigans) so if you have anything of use to a new hobbyist that would be wonderful. If not, I’m just looking for a good home for this fish.
