So i recall about 10 years or so seeing tiger oscars fighting (yt), they were massive and believe this - they had blood red very defined lines with the shine of a juvenile but they were fully grown. Not orangey in the slightest. As a kid my fav fish was the oscar. I just loved them, i still think they have the best personality in a fish. They are smart too. Ive seen an oscar lay on its side inviting a fish that did peck at its extra white slime/fungus that you see on oscars sometimes.

I just grew to like sharp patterns, when i say sharp, i mean discus sharp..ive only seen this level of detail on an oscar on the the yt vid i mentioned. I tried to find it but i cant.

If i could find some that were the same that would be my go to fish. Id do anything for an hd patterned oscar. Plus real red colour. On the bucket list, 2 tiger metallic hd oscars in a tank.

The tiger lines were so thin and sharp like a juvenile. But fully grown. You can imagine how beautiful that is.

Anyone have anything like im describing? Care to share pics? Source a seller? Its on my bucket list.

Nope, although those are different the fully grown adults that i wanted so badly looked like juveniles but big. Im sure you guys know what i mean. They looked like the juveniles in the fish store that make you want to impulse by if you dont know what they grow into and that they are so stunning at that age. And deep red.. almost maroon with 0 orange colour. Not fire oscar red. Proper dark red.

Tbh i dont know why farms n breeders are so obsessed with breeding flowerhorns to perfection, they should find these types of oscars im talking about and breed them n start selling. Most beautiful n majestic fish ever IMO. Plus not man made!

I know its was 10 years ago but if you could dig out the video that would help massively. I know my leopard Oscar is still as bright as the day I got him but he is only 10 months old. I also think what you feed has a big impact on red coloured fish.

Here's a link to where I got my boy from Leopard Oscar it is in the UK though but just to give you some idea.

Ive dug n dug n dug through the youtube substrate and i just cant find it. It had rock music in the background if anyone else can remember it. Anyways... Will keep a look out for these types of oscars.

I live in asia and although fish arnt particularly well looked after in stores or in the farms i might add, we get huge varieties so fingers crossed.
