So last night, I had went to my aquarium room to feed my fish. Unfortunately, I've been on call this week (diesel mechanic) and I haven't been as attentive to my aquarium as I should have been.
I noticed my dojo loaches were looking... sick. Then it dawned on me that it was a fungal infection. I immediately scooped them out and put them in my hospital tank. Treated them with API's pimafix (which I read isn't good enough later). They passed away earlier this evening and i went back to petsmart to get better medicine, Fritz's Maracyn Oxy and some actual aquarium salt.
When I got home, i realized a clown loach, two of my balas, and my red spotted severum are starting to show signs of infection.
At this rate, I'm going to assume that they all are infected. Treated the tank with Fritz and was wondering if I should add aquarium salt too.
What I'm worried about is how will the salt affect the following fish.
2 Burmese Upside Down Catfish
1 Red Spotted Severum
2 Electric Blue Acaras
6 Bloodfin Tetras
2 siamese algae eaters
2 otos
3 bala sharks
2 clown loaches
Also, just asking should I do a salt bath or is the Fritz enough? I removed any chemical filter media from my filters too.
Please, any advice is welcomed and thank you for your time.
