I have a group of young G. abalios in a peaceful SA cichlid tank with angelfish and a very mellow Electric Blue Acara. I also have a few cory catfish and a bristlenose pleco in there as the cleanup crew.

I was a bit concerned that between them all there might be too many janitors and some squabbling over resources might occur.

Needn't have worried. The G. abalios keep the sand sparkling. The cory cats mostly stick to nibbling biofilm off driftwood, plant leaves and rocks. The bristlenose pleco scrubs the glass. I make sure everyone gets their wafers or pellets at meal time and there is peace.

Might have to move a brooding pair to a honeymoon tank or pull the corys once the eartheaters are finally ready to pair off. But thus far they are working great together (though it's worth noting that G. abalios are very peaceful). Geos and other cleaning staff are not necessarily mutually exclusive. :)

Will do! First I have to do some quick damage repair. Every single plant in the tank except for a huge Amazon sword--which has as hair algae on it--is floating in random clumps. The G. abalios are so enthusiastic about their work that they have uprooted most of them. I think the Amazon sword will be fine if I can get rid of the darned hair algae but all else will need to be surrounded by rocks, potted, floating or secured to driftwood. I also plopped the Electric Blue Acara into another tank until the littlest cory cats (C. trilineatus or False Julii) are bigger. The adults are in no danger but the youngsters were about to be mobile snacks.

I'll do that tonight though, and also get a shot of the Acara for you. She(?) is a beauty. Up until recently Daphne had me convinced she was female. Now I suspect she is actually a Fred.

Mollies do a good job of eating hair algae and would work with your fish...

I think otocinclus would be a more biotope correct fish, and also come from South America like the other fish :)
