Hi All

Im looking at starting to breed Yellow Labs and Maybe Golden Bristlenose.
What i would like to know is are Yellow Labs Worth it and would three be able to breed in a 15 gallon tank and would the fry be able to be raised in about 4 2.5 gallon pplastic containers. I would also like to breed Gloden Bristlenose Plecos is the possible and would the be able to go in the tank with the yellow labs and would the fry be able to be raised in 2.5 gallon containers. If so what temperature would the need. :FIREdevil

Bristlenose will be very easy to breed... and will at a range of temps. Put a cave or two in there (bamboo pipe, rock cave, flower pot, someone even said they used a VHS tape shell) with them and they'll breed all day. You'll only want one male though and a couple of females, more than one male will lead to fighting. There is loads of info on breeding bristlenose on the site.

Sweet so would the gba be ok in a 5 gallon and fry in 2.5 containers?
And what about the yellow labs i heard they were a nice vibrant fish to have and would 1 male and 2 females be ok in a 15 gallon and the fry in 2.5 gallon containers

would these containers contain filtration and heater... would you only be putting a few fry in each container.. why a container. to raise any fish and keep them healthy from fry on up the most important thing is water changes.. labs need little nooks and crannies to hide in... they are pretty common and easy to breed so if your thinking of making a profit on them it probably won't be much, as in any breeding operation you need a source who buys them... not all LFS stores buy local breeders fish... And yellow labs have many off spring...so one breeding and one raising of the fry would probably take up a lot of space...so you must have a definite buyer for them when they are big enough...

the containers are going to have filtration as lighting and all that stuff.
I was goingt o raise them in containers because it is easier and cheaper than buying tanks that take up just as much space
