Thanks think I will get a few never seen them in lfsI think they are a fabulous fish to keep. They grow extremely fast, and get to about 15"-18"with height and girth to match, so they need a very large tank. Mine were good in a 150 gallon starting at @ 2" for about 2 years, then needed to be moved to a 300 gal.
They are primarily vegetarian and do well with a high spiraling pellet, I also supplement with romaine and dandelion, because they are known to eat overhanging terrestrial vegetation in nature.
