So I had the opportunity to get these guys. Last thing I needed really. I didn't have the space so I picked up a 125 for them as well. So this thread will be the progression of both. I've enjoyed watching the grow out threads on here, so I hope to throw some good content of my own into the mix.

Unfortunately my good phone/camera took a crap on me this past week, so I am using an old iphone and the pics aren't the best. Hopefully that will be remedied soon.

I'm not sure why I purchased 3. I really only wanted 1, but liked what I saw so here they are... will see what happens.

The tank is your standard 125. I'm running two ac110s and two xl sponge filters for now. It's very poorly lit with two under powered 50/50s. Currently no aquascape. All of this stuff will change in the future.

GT are 2.5" in size

Alexxxxsv14 Alexxxxsv14 Thanks man... and I know lol. I activity search social media, LFS, classifieds, eBay all the time for years. These guys were imported from Thailand by Coast Gem USA out of Chula Vista. I'm not sure how often they dabble in green terrors, as they seem to specialize in fancy gold fish. But it was an excellent transaction from start to finish. I was able to select the ones I wanted (non local). He sent me pics and had them out to me right away. I'm afraid I got the best ones out of this batch though :p Hit them up on facebook for fastest response.

I didn't really want to post this info until I've had them for a week or two and make sure they're all healthy, but I would be asking the same question as you

I dropped by their store down there about 2-3 months ago. Huge selection of stuff. Those little guys remind me of the gt he had in one of the display tanks. Was clearly the boss of about 30 african cichlids haha, was jealous! I think he had some fry like that too, maybe they are the same batch? He had a good selection of loaches and bettas too, even 6" king bettas for about 50 bucks! Picked up a veiltail for the fiance and some plants. Doing good. They post craigslist ads all the time too.

Ugh, still miss my baby gt. Only had him for like 3 months though, smart and awesome fish. Hex sucks. Next big tank setup I do I will try these again.

No, he told me he got this batch is 2-3 weeks ago. I'm going to drop by there too next time I head up to San Diego. According to their site they have red texas and some other central / south american cichlids as well. From their social media though, it appears gold fish is like 90% of their business?
