There seems to be a lot of interest in Grey bamboos (C. griseum)lately after the brown banded vs grey thread.

After only empty egg cases from the first attempts, I introduced a different mature male into a display with a female to see if we could make a love connection. Took him about 15 mins to track her down.

Here's the male while acclimating. He still has his stripes, but his claspers tell the story. Haha

Of course I have to post this one.

Awesome pictures. Does the female have an egg in her?

Of course he was looking for her in with 15 minutes. From the second picture it looks like you did a good job getting him warmed up and setting the mood.

I do what I can. Hahaha

I have high hopes, but we'll see how it goes.

Nice pictures! Let us know how it all goes! How big of a tank are they in?

3,000 gallon column with an artificial reef insert. Mixed fish and sharks (Grey, White spotted and Epaulette). Running a large sump, and two independent filter loops. One pump pulls right from the tank, runs through a Pentair canister, 800 watts of UV and the Aqualogic chiller then goes back to the tank. The sump is fed via 4" stand pipe in the center of the reef insert, then pumped back through another Pentain canister. Off the sump there is an RK2 fluidized sand bed / pt skimmer skid that returns to the sump after passing through a degas tower. I had four main return jets in the tank. Two down close to the bottom aimed counter clockwise and two at the surface rotating clockwise. It keeps the circulation working against each other and mixes the column fairly well. It also avoids a constant circle motion of water which tends to spin the substrate.
