i have 5 halloween crabs. my ? is do they grow there legs and claws back. over the 2 3 months i have had them they have lost a few. if they do grow them back, i must be doing something wrong bc mine arent. if they do grow back how are what do i need to do, make it hotter, warmer. but some water in there, make it humid. thanks for any help

its really important they get alot of calcium what are you feeding them

they usually dont grow back until they molt

they should not lose limbs unless they are fighting worry about that problem first

i feed them lettuce. i think they are fighting at night. they all have there own cave. its just when they come out at night i have a big white one that fights the others if they get to close. what kinda conditions do they need to molt

its a natural process.......its not a fast process.....patients there JarHead

i put a small little try in there for them. someone told me they where land crabs, so they dont need very much water at all, that they get most of it from food, and the one time a year they migrate to the ocean to breed. sould i give thm more water?

They probally need a little humidity. Esp when they are going to molt.

I have seen people keep them in tanks that have 3/4 land and 1/4 of water about an inch deep.

You should also give them some dietary variety, soft algae, soft aquarium plants like elodea, soaked nori (for iodine), even a little canned cat food dusted with reptical. lettuce is just not enough.

cool thanks everyone.
