My group of 6 heckelii are now ranging from 4.5" to 5.5". Had them for 6 months and they were around 2". Coloring up nicely. The pics don't do them just.

I did a few changes the the tank. Added more wood, removed the ceramic decor and added some black sand. Looks like a totally different tank now.
Good luck with them. Mine were about that size when they started killing eachother. Conspecific aggression is terrible with this species.
Yeah I've heard the horror stories. I plan on rehoming all but 1 of them and start growing out a group of other geos soon
You might want to add a 3 ft length of 3" or 4" diameter PVC pipe, they spawn in tunnels in nature.
