Help identify my ancistrus

Hi Friends,

I have two beautiful ancistrus with tiny gold spots all over can you help me indentify what they really are?

They are about 4 1/2 to 5 inches and the male has more spots than the female.. Are they L59??

Maybe it's just my computer but they look dark brown to me with no spots

hi warborg the male has tiny gold spots on him and the female has no spots at all... When they were juvy's they were full of tiny spots all over there body..

I don't think Ancistrus hoplogenys or L059. From the type specimens on Planet Catfish they show white spots and to some degree orange margins on the dorsal and caudal fin. Although, they are quite small given their max 6.3" SL, so its possible that like they lose the colour like Baryancistrus sp. L018/L081/L177 do.
