Help! Malawi eyebiter eating eyes!

Hi, so I have had my Malawi eyebiters for a year or so. I got them when they were under an inch. I have found out that they eat eyes but didn't think I would have a problem. The 3 I have are 2 males and 1 female. Just recently I purchased a silver gar for my tank and he decided to eat the eyes out of the gar. My malwai eyebiters live on a 38 gallon community tank with 3 parrots, 1 pink tail chalceus, 8 small clown loaches, 3 small leopard ctenopoma , and 3 tinfoil Barb's. I have purchased a 125 gallon aquarium for these fish but am in the process of moving and setting it up. I assume the aggression is caused by them growing and the tank is less suitable for them. I have also moved the other Malawi eyebiter that lost 1 eye into a quarenteen tank for the moment.

Interesting.I have read that compressiceps do not go after other fish's eyes in captivity.I have kept them in the past and none of them engaged in the behavior.

I don't know anything about this fish but if it's called an eye biter I wouldn't be surprised that it's biting eyes.
It's like saying you are shocked an anteater is eating ants.
Well, unlike you I know a little about them and have kept them and have never heard of them doing it in captivity.
What would you say about a fish called a slippery dick?

I think it's rather awesome that your fish behave the way nature intended them to and I'm a bit jealous that mine never bit any eyes lo.
How many eyes does that chicken have?
